Nayanatara is a south indian actress who is basically from Thiruvalla, Kerala, India. Her original name was Diana Mariam Kurian.

She started acting in Malayalam movies and then started appearing in Tamil movies .She became quite popular after she starred alongside with south indian superstar Rajnikanth in a movie called Chandramukhi. She went on to act in many tamil, telugu movies such as Vallavan, Yaradi nee mohini, Sathyam, Yegan, Simha etc,.

She was in a relationship with Tamil actor silamparasan for a while and then they ended their relationship in short time. Also there was a scandal about Nayanatara being with silamparasan in a sms which shows explicitly her having physical relationship with silamparasan. Though she disagreed later wards about the MMS.   Now she is in relationship with another Tamil actor Prabhudeva.
